what protein skimmer do you use and how do you like it?
I also used Prizm. and they are not bad for small tanks as long as you get the deluxe model (or upgrade to the standard model). They take a little adjusting to get the flow of water and air fair (but it's true that most of the skimmer).

Your live rock is your MAIN source of biological filtration and it needs a good current to do it's job.
