a question about weaning food!?

my 6 month old has been on solids for about 3 weeks now,i give him baby porridge with 2 cubes of pereed apple for breaskfast,when can i give him ordinary porridge (100% natural oats that i eat myself)? if any1 could help thanks


I started giving my daughter 100% oats but with a little extra water/formula milk, before 6 months as I started to give her solids at 4 months and she never had any problems.

I think the main concern though is if you give a baby foods

Feeding my guinea pig oats?

Lately I've been giving my guinea pig a pinch (a 4-finger-pinch, not a 2-finger-pinch, if that makes sense) of Quaker oats on top of his pellets. But I never stopped to make sure it was ok.
