Q: I am a vegetarian martial artist on the verge of becoming vegan. I would like to know where you get your protein, how often you train and how your energy levels and muscle development were affected.

A: I am not a martial artist, but my boyfriend is. We do eat lots of soy products, but we like to change sometimes.

I need protein without animal products. Soy is #1, combining grains and legumes #2, any other vegi protein?

Which vegetables (besides soy) are a good source of protein without being combined (ie: combining grains and legumes makes a complete vegetarian protein)? I am an Orthodox Christian and need to find protein-rich foods I can eat during lent.


Beans are a great source of protein, baked beans, kidney beans, lima beans, etc., and eggs...unless your a Vegan?
I'm nearly sure Green runner beans are high protein and high carb. Eggplant, Cabbage, Potatoes, the list is quite long.
